A little on me...

So, who is this ZQ person anyway???

Well, for Net purposes I go by ZQ, an old nickname. Recently I relocated to North Carolina after graduating from The University of Georgia. I've found my sentence in NC to be uneventful for the most part. Sure, I have met a handful of interesting people and made a few friends. Like any where else in the U.S. there is the usual stuff to do like shopping and going the movies, but personally I prefer places like Atlanta and Orlando - larger cities and more cultural meccas. This place is o.k. if your married and are ready to raise a family. But for single folks in your 20s, if your not in College here, then good luck...If your an outdoors person and enjoy the occasional hurricane, then this is the place to be.

So why did you put up this site?

Because I can! This is the fourth site that I have actually put up, but its the first with its own URL (Getting a URL is sooo cheap these days). The other reasons I put it up is because it's a great communications tool. Keeps me in touch with family and friends all over the world, back home in Georgia, as well as High School and College pals who have moved across the U.S.. The other reason why I put up this site is partly because it's a learning experience. I've used tools like Netscape Composer, MS FrontPage, and Dreamweaver to put together past sites. As you have probably guessed, I am no Graphics Designer. With the exceptions of the Blog and MoBlog, this is the first site I have pieced together in HTML and JavaScript. It also has the added benefit of loading correctly in just about any Web Browser since it is mostly in HTML and nothing really fancy like Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).

How do I pass the time???

Well, if you've been to my Favorite Links page, you can see that I do enjoy several Web Comics. I also enjoy good Anime when I can find them =). Movies, books, learning about new technologies and gadgets, intellectually stimulating conversation are also counted among some of my favorite things. I am also a serous Gamer (Video Games), which you may have picked up on from some of the links posted in my main Blog. I also do enjoy the occasional cultural outing to plays, local museums, and concerts. Local radio here in Raleigh-Durham is dead, so I find myself listsening mostly to XM Radio on the web. Often I find myself listening to GamingFM at home. My musical tastes are wide and varied, but I seem to prefer Alternative Rock from the '90s. For a while, my favorite band has been Bare Naked Ladies.
